The initial target market for the Digital Beginners Course will be individuals who are currently unemployed, registered with the Job Centre and receiving some form of benefits.
Research has highlighted that the target market are most likely to be 50+ in age and not have access to a computer at home, instead using public-access computers.
The individual will attend the course out of necessity to be able to access and maintain their Universal Credit accounts and to improve their employability skills.
Job Centre recruitment consultants are the key decision makers in deciding if a training provider’s course will be offered to jobseekers. They have the authority to purchase licences of courses or give approval for a training provider to present the course directly.
